Hey guys still got trouble with my motor we have been trying to get this going for over a year, we have it running but it will not idle we have good compression timing has been set carbs and oil pick up synced carbs cleaned 3xs full rebuilds along with the fuel pumps new vac and gas lines, thermostats, and prc valve, new needles and seats, and gaskets through out the motor, fuel filter and water separator, and all adjustments set back to factory spec, all elec componets checked and good as well as spark. And we even hooked up a 5gal outboard tank just to rule that out, so after all that we found that the air/ fuel Adj screws on the top of the carbs looked to rounded and crushed, so we got 6 new ones, that are about 1/8-1/4 inch longer then the old ones and come to a nice sharp point, we put those in to factory starting point ( snug then 1 1/8 turn out) thinking we had the problem fixed but it didn't fix the idle problem and now the vac lines under the carbs keep blowing off, almost like an intake back fire, we have tried going in and out from the start point but the only place that makes it run better is if we close the screws completely and no matter what it still blows the vac lines any ideas?

Sounds like floats incorrectly set or hanging up.

Sounds like a lean sneeze going on, maybe you have vacuum leaks to crank case or the carbs are still the problem
