  • 2001 115 TLRZ water pump question

Hey guys, getting a boat back in operation after it sat in a back yard for the last 6 years. I first drained and flushed the fuel tank and installed new racor filter. Disassembled and cleaned the carbs. Low speed jets were pretty cruddy. New NGK plugs and she fired right off and idled smoothly. Now focusing on the lower unit gear oil change and water pump replacement. My question, what is the easiest way to remove the metal collar and spacer that are installed on top of the 3 washers above the impeller housing? Are these 2 parts normally replaced during a pump change? Thanks for the help, lots of good info on this forum...

Remove cup from water pump housing and slide down over impeller(to help pry spacer cup off) and use two small pry bars and pry upwards.
