2002 90hp no trim, PLEASE HELP!!!

I recently took my boat out from storage. I replaced the battery and when I trimmed the motor down, the trim motor stated grinding very loudly. It went up and down twice, then wouldn't lift up on the next try. the trim motor is still spinning, but wont lift up. How do i get the motor in the up position so I can replace the trim motor assembly? Thanks for your help in advance.

Oh yeah also, the steering is locked up, any suggestions on that?

I would check your fluid level first. It sounds like you have a leak and have air in the system.
