Hi

Does any one know what the fuel mixture should be on a 3 cyl Yamaha 80 hp outboard? I think the motor is running to rich, Plugs are burning black and I have some fuel leaking from all 3 carbs into the airbox...?

If you have fuel leaking out of all 3 carbs ,you need to pull and clean carbs

Could be float needle and seat, no longer cutting of fuel supply, Could be age related- rebuild carbs or debris under seal-rebuild carbs and clean fuel system.

Ok, but would dirty carbs not cause the motor be sluggish or mis...? Motor runs fine and idles ect.... but my plugs burn black and you can see when I remove the plugs they are wet of fuel... Thinking it might be overfueling.?
