yamaha 115 four stroke / problems

hi there i have a 115 f/s yammy with 40 hrs and have recently been told that these motors have a design fault that lets water into the cilinders is this true, or are there any other faults. I am really happy with this motor havving upgraded from a 90 2stroke and have found the four stroke cheaper to run and quieter

I havn't had any problems with water in cylinders. On any four stroke engine you have to mount motor high as possible on boat to keep exhaust relief holes on midsection above water line. Some boats sit too low in water and the extra weight of 4 stroke puts the exhaust below water and the engine can suck water back in.
