  • closed water cooling

I know this sounds out there but I know it can be done. So I am looking for pic or diagrams for my 2001 yamaha 60's cooling system so I can have somewhat of a plan before I start this project. Any other help or tips are much apprieciated. Thanks.

Years ago the Britsh made a boat call an Albatross, I think that's how you spell it. Anyway it had a Ford four cylinder in it with a closed loop system. They built a cooling system that went against the floor of the aluminum boat that acted like a radiator. I believe you are talking about something simalar.

Yea the plan it to run an actual radiator and fan to cool the engine. I have a the parts and a plan in mind for my particular boat but I just need to figure out how to tap into the cooling system and make my own.

How do you plan to capture and recurculate the water that cools the exhaust?
How do you plan to keep the exhaust temperture down to a point where it won't damage internal seals etc.?
        Just curious.

I was thinking of keeping the stock water pump in it and routing it into the exhaust at the top of the mid section.
