  • water in lower unit

I have a question about a seal thought maybe someone on here would be able to answer. I took my bassboat out yesterday, and it started making a funny noise. Well when I got home i took the drain plug and water was in there. My question is this,Located under the waterpump the is a seal that was leaking and it had some roller bearings in the part that is needing replaced, and the part number for the seal is 61a-45331-00-9s could this be the problem?

If you are going into it to replace bearing, you need to check the shafts, other bearing, and gears to make sure they are OK. A reseal would be a very good idea while it is apart
