  • Oil pump problems

I have a 93 Yamaha PROV150LD outboard that is not pumping oil from the boat tank to the tank on the side of the motor. I had a tilt switch short my relay earlier and I read that the tilt could cause a problem with this. I need to figure out if the pump is bad or if it is something else. Also if the up
P is bad does anyone know how to change it out.

    Thanks Bert

The tilt switch wont stop it from transfering oil but the trim sender will, if trim gauge shows full trimmed up and motor is trimmed down then it will not transfer oil and need to test trim sender(oil should still transfer if activate emergency switch on engine), if yellow or middle oil bar on tach is on it will not transfer oil, check oil level in boat oil tank and test tank sender and wiring.
