  • Holes in inner exhaust plate. How bad?

I have a 1994 90hp on a boat that i purchased last summer. Previous owner took very good care of the motor. I've had no problems with it so far. Took the boat out a couple of days ago, ran it for about 15 minutes. Ran like normal. Fished for 30 minutes. Fired it up to change locations and would not get on plane. Motor peaked about 2500 rpms and was sputtering and ****ing. Started checking things out and found water on 2nd and 3rd spark plugs. Idled to ramp and then trailered home. Removed head covers and exhaust plates. Found 2 pin holes in inner exhaust plate, 1 in top of the curved part and 1 in the bottom of the curved part.
I have all the parts ordered (head gaskets, exhaust plate gaskets, and inner plate, etc.).

How bad is this?? Am looking at some serious damage or will she make it with the new parts?!

As long as get it back running as soon as possible to get all water out of engine should be ok.
