  • Removing Fuel Pump On 06 VMAX 150

I took both bolts out to pull the fuel pump and see if the diaphram is leaking. It was still solidly attached. I didn't want to force it off and tear up the gasket. Is this normal?
How tight should the bots be when re-attaching?

It's most likely just stuck on with the old gasket and you'll need to gently pry it off. A new pump comes with a new gasket, but when I replaced my fuel pump the old gasket was stuck to the block, so I just left it and put the new pump on...save the new gasket for later if I ever need it. Good Luck!

The bolts should be just good and tight, but I wouldn't put too much muscle on them since they just hold the pump on.
