  • Removing trim motor assembly

I ave an 02 70 2 stroke and need to replace the trim motor assembly, I already have the part. How in the world do you get the back bolt out? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it much less get it back on with the new assembly

Try taking trim unit loose from transom bracket and see if can tilt forward enough to gain access to back bolt.

I got old one off and there is some sort of a filter that sits in the fluid. How do you remove the old one and how to replace?

The filter just sits on top of spring, should just lift out.

          rear bolt removal

it is very easy in place using a 1/4 drive flexible stranded wire type extension.
Ive just done one last week.
          regards Jim
