  • 4 blade solas prop

I have a grizzly 1754 with a 25hp 2010 yamaha 4stroke.It has a 9 7/8 x 10 1/2 3 blade prop on it now. I want to go to a 4 blade prop and am not sure which would be better. Runs about 23 mph gps numbers and am pleased with numbers. Don't really want to loose any speed if possible.

What is the reason for switching if you are happy with what you have?
What are your WOT RPMs with the prop you have?

These things will help determine prop pitch

Usually need to drop 1 inch pitch when going from 3 blade to 4 blade props as long as they are both same material, 2 inches if going from alum to SS prop. But generally the 4 blade has less top speed than the 3 blade props.

        banged uo

banged up the factory prop on some rocks. Gonna keep the factory prop for the rocks. Not bab but bad enough. Was gonna get another one for the lakes. Thought about the 4 blade, but sounds like I need to stay with the 3 blade. What would be the replacement if I went to stainless?
