  • correct identification

    just had a pre purchase inspection done in perth australia and the mechanic reckons the motor is an f40beto. however it has electric tilt and o doesnt make any sense. can anyone shed any light for me please

    We don't have any information on motors other than US models but probably the "T" in model number stands for power tilt.

      Does it have a model # and serial # tags?

      this is the only site I seen to have info for some of the out of US motors

      I would think you would just drop the O and end up with a F40BET

        Looks like the same naming as in Europe

        F = Four Stroke
        B = Generation
        E = Electric Start
        T = Power Trim and Tilt
        O = Oil Injection (only applicabale on 2S)
