Conversion from tiller control

Have a 17' Smokercraft with inboard motor and jetpump. Have attached a T8 Yamaha (2008/9) and want to convert from tiller control to sidemount front left of boat with dual handle speed and shift levers. Have been told I need an attachment connection kit to attach to the front of the kicker motor to then convert from tiller handle. I am also installing remote steering system. Can anyone tell me the appropriate connection conversion kit; where, how much, part number, etc.
