  • Fuel Pump Diaphragm Inspection

Does anyone know how to remove the diaphragm from the (low pressure) fuel pumps (part number 63P-24410-00-00) from a 2004 F150TXRC Yamaha 4 stroke? My manual discusses inspection but I’m not clear on how to remove the plunger and access the diaphragm shaft pin. Alternately, would measuring the output identify a diaphragm pin hole?

You just remove fuel pump from engine and pump fuel primer bulb to see if gas is coming out around pluger shaft of pump.

Actually, I did figure it out ( amazing what can happen when you re-read the manual). Diaphreagm appears OK on this one but I'll check with your suggestion on both. The check valves look good, but is there any simialr way to check them. I don't have a pressure-vacuum tester. Thanks
