  • Add a trim guage to a 2000 Sea Pro/Yamaha 115HP

I want to add a trim guage to a 2000 Sea Pro/Yamaha 115HP Has basic guages & no trim gauge.
    1. How can I check if wiring harness & sensor is already installed ?
    2. What type of gauge will it need ?
    3. Does anybody have a wiring diagram for this ?

If it doesn't have Yamaha gauges in it then would need
    6Y5-83670-11-00 three Wire Trim gauge
    68F-82553-70-00 Trim/Oil Harness(connects between engine and gauge)

That harness connects to the two off white colored square connectors on engine, check engine to see if has a harness on it.

Look for a sensor lever that runs against the transom bracket near the hing pin. Our 90 TLR outboard is equipped with the sensor and wiring, but has no gauge or wiring in the harness to the console. I did find a spare pair in the harness that I'll re purpose for the trim gauge. I also found a Teleflex trim gauge that near enough matches our existing cluster that I will switch out with the fuel gauge since we easily see the fuel level in the translucent tank under the console.
