  • feul problem?

    I am having an issue with my yamaha 225 vmax, it is a 2000 model and if just punch it to get on plane it will cut off, if i feather the throttle it will not do it,nor does it do it when i submerge the motor in the tub. any suggestios?
    I just had to my mechanic and he replaced he o2 sensor and all the fuel filters on it.

          Wouldn't tackle this without a shop manual and time spent researching the procedure. Lots on here and I believe some pics on THT.

            you can try just draining the tank into a glass jar, etc to see if you have any gunk
            the tank is located on post side of motor, the large alum canister, youll see a drain screw on bottom front

            if youve ever taken apart a carb its not TOO much different
            otherwards a manual/ online video will help much
