  • No Grease fittings

I have a 2009 yamaha, 2 stroke, model 25ESH. No grease fittings on the pivot arm that swivels the motor up and down, however it looks like holes are where the grease fittings should be. Are grease fittings suppose to be here? Thanks.

The older 80's model did have them but the new models don't have grease fittings there.

Maybe if the holes are there you could install some grease zerks. They're either pressed in or threaded in. Seems to me that grease zerks can only be a good thing to have, but maybe they're sealed bearings?

Thanks for the information, I just saw a schematic of my engine and under the part # for these grease fittings it states "discontinued", thanks again for the responses, I can now stop thinking that they were never installed, time to store my boat for the winter.
