VST maitenance

As per periodic maintenance I would like to get my VST filter changed ,,

But after reading the posts in here I am hesitating .. As of right now my engine runs wells. It's a 2003 with 409 hours .. should I leave it alone or get it changed ? Would I create more problems by opening the VST case for maintenance ?

If you have had fuel problems, water in fuel or had troulble keeping other fuel filters clean then yes it needs to be cleaned.
