  • Fogging a Yamaha F250 4-stroke

I am trying to find out the proper way to fog a F250 4-stroke engine. The mechanic that winterized it the first couple of times just mixed a little fogging oil and fuel stabilizer in the fuel water separator cup mounted on the engine when he replaced the fuel filter element and ran the engine for a couple of minutes. He never removed the plugs and shot fogging oil into the cylinders. Is this an acceptable way to fog this engine?

Remove spark plugs, put about an ounce of fogging oil in each cylinder, replace plugs, remove landyard cord to prevent engine from starting and spin engine to lube cylinders, piston and rings.
