Rig was running great,, layed it up for about 6 months and wanted to get it ready to take out again so did some mant. changed fuel line from tanks to motor including the ball now it will not run it starts but ball will not stay hard and it runs out of fuel.. the picture of where the line hooks up shows a damper in line . does it need it? and does it need a yamaha ball ? hope someone can help kinda stuck and dont want to put out a ton of ducks if its something simple.. thanks

Check to see if actually getting gas to engine filter when pump bulb.
