Mariner parts

Hi,
I just purchased a used Mariner 8hp that I'll need parts and a service manual for. I'm thinking it's a Yamaha version (sure looks it).
It's a Mariner 8M, 6G1, S, 012195. I took a look at www.marinshopin.se and it appears to be a 1984.
Can anyone verify this? What would the sister Yamaha be...8LN or 8SN?
Would I then order parts for a 1984 Yamaha 8hp from this site (preferred) or be looking for a "Mariner" site?
One more thing, on this site I can purchase a "graphics set" of decals for the cowling. Any ideas on getting the same for "Mariner"?

The 1984 8SN should be the same, but not 100% sure if all parts are the same.

Check www.mercruiserparts.com if you want to compare schematics/parts. My mariner 30A by yamaha is a 1993, parts match identically with 1992 C30. Good luck

Hello,

I had a Yamaha 25HP 1986, I know that at the time, the Mariner version was a very "close cousin" but not exact. Certain parts like the linkages to carbs and throttle were different. You will need to be very sure the parts match your outboard exactly.
