  • Blown power head due to hydrolock

After a sudden stop on the water my 2008 F250 stalled I was told I had a hydrolock that seized the engine. My insurance paid for a new block. I had the motor in for 10 hr service and was told everthing was perfect. The next weekend I stopped again this time not that suddenly and again the motor failed and again I was told a hydrolock. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is happening? could there be something missing from the motor that is causing this to happen?

My thoughts are that the sudden stop causes the motor to pick up water from the wave behind the boat and filling the cylinders
