F150 fuel fliter

I have an F150TXR, mfg 9/1/2008. How do I tell if I have the old or new style fuel filter, which is the correct filter element part #, and is there a special wrench to remove the filter cup. I understand there was an issue with the older style filter assy, with the plastic expanding. Can I assume the new style will be ok?

That uses the newer style, part number 6P3-WS24A-01-00
The fuel filter wrench is part number YB-ACC04, need to call boats.net at 877-408-1499 to special order tools.
