  • oil leak above top drain screw

    ymaha 2008 115 2stroke
small amount of oil came out of hole above the top oil drain screw about a tsp-tblsp i hit a stump and operated it with the trim up high but not too high where it lost water flow to the engine. no more oil is coming out as it sits under my carport. is this normal and what do you recommend?

You can run it like it is and watch for more oil leakage or remove prop and drop the lower unit to inspect for damage or leaking seals. Good Luck!

Remove prop to inspect prop shaft and seals, drain and refill lower unit, run it a while and watch for leaks. A bit of oil or grease on an outboard motor is fairly normal, so maybe you're O.K. Good Luck!
