  • throttle friction adjustment?

I have a 60 HP four stroke with a throttle/shift lever that I believe is called the
"6X0 FLUSH MOUNT CONTROL (Elect Start, Power trim models).

It looks like the one at the top of this page:

The friction adjust is just a bit too loose so the lever won't hold an adjustment in a chop. It keeps backing off so I have to keep my hand on constantly.
It mounts on the side of my console, and inside the console is a fairly large sort of coffin-shaped control box.
Surely there must be and adjustment on the darn thing, but I can't find it.

    Can anyone help?

if its a top mount 704, you must remove the black cover to expose the adjust screw. if its a side mount 703, its on the opposite end of the keyswitch.
