hi folks,
i have an old 55 hp 2 stroke which i had to take of the boat as the hull needed repair. unfortunately one of the transom bracket screws has sheared. the previous owner probably hadnt removed the outboard in years and the screws were totally corroded and this one needs machined out. now here is my problem, how do i remove the transom braket from the outboard. i have stripped the hydraulics and removed the bolt heads. does the bracket split apart and if so how or do you have to remove it with part of the body of the outboard.
