  • F-150 prop selection help

hey guys new here and would appreciate input/help.

looking for a new prop to provide better low end bite. avg conditons here 2-4ft
a little low on power i know but repower not an option.

    vessel is a 2007 striper 2101
    yamaha f150
    15m alum prop stock
    105 gal fuel
    50 gal bait tank
    fully loaded i'm pushing 5300lbs

test 1 ---conducted in harbor 2-3"chop
    wind 5-7 knots

    5500 rpm 36 mph

    on plane engine trimmed up
    50 gal bait tank empty
    80 gal fuel
    approx weight 4850

test 2 ---in harbor same conditons
    5200 rpm 33mph

    bait tank full
    80 gal fuel
    approx weight 5300

    test 3 ---outside harbor
    4600 rpm approx 22mph
    seas 2-3 ft
    bait tank full
    80 gal fuel

not being concerned with top end speed rather low to midrange punch, was considering a solas 4 blade 13 pitch 13.5" diameter stainless prop. any thoughts or recomendations? chastise as you see fit.
    thanks for the help.

You could use 500 more rpm at WOT. Have you tried raising the engine up a hole or 2? Most engines are set too low.

Propping correctly & how to test props.....
