98 V-max 150

I have owened this boat for 6 years (Larson 186 SEI 1999, Yamaha 150 V-max 1998) and never witnessed this problem, attatched to the ignition there is a buzzer alarm, this alarm has gone off a couple of times in my last 2 outings. If any one could tell me what this alarm is it would be greatly apprieciated.
