please help with year id

My yamaha is model c30elvr
serial is 611 L 403059 W

I would like to know the year if possible.

first thought is that it is a 1997 because of the "W" at the end of your model number.

On the engine stamp there is a letter in the very bottom right hand corner. It may be stamped in black paint. But it is the very bottom right corner.
