  • Charging Problem

    2005 50HP TLR(D?)

I got this boat a few weeks ago, nothing but problems. You may have seen my previous posts. The carbourators were cleaned at least 4 times, everything has been double checked. After replacing the CDI unit, finally, the engine is running great, except a little rough idle. I ran it for the first time after repairs yesterday. Runs pretty well.

But, before it was charging the battery. Now it is not. I have the repair manual (by Seloc) but I'm so stressed out by this... can someone give me some hints to check out the charging system?

I checked the charging coil with the ohmmeter already, it matched the book's specifications. I also checked all the fuses. What's the next step?

    Please help, I'm going nuts!

Load test battery and check battery cables, test regulator and lighting coil. Check all wiring and grounds.
