  • F350 stuck in up position - tilt non-functional

I just get a clicking sound when trying to lower one engine. I tried the throttle control and switch on side of engine but got the same result. Tried battery switches to 1+2 but no help. The other engine tilts normally and this one worked fine 2 days ago. I'm thinking it is a relay or solenoid but am not sure. Is there a way of manually lowering to get up and running temporarily until I can get it repaired? If so, any risk of damage or caveats in doing so?

    Thanks,
    Cliff

    Tilt

My 85 has a manual release on the tilt / trim unit. It was a straight bladed screw on the side.
