  • 150 not idling smoothly

My 150 four stroke was just serviced, but it is not idling smoothly.

The RPM does not do over 4500

i am told it may be a sensor, help

    need a tad more information.
odds are very high its not a sensor.
if a sensor failed you would be complaing that it also idles at about 1100 RPM.
you MUST monitor fuel rail pressures at the problem RPM and load.
    why was it serviced?
when was the last time it would exceed 5700 RPM?
    whats the model # ?
are you dealing with an actual yamaha trained tech?
does said tech have 4 stroke systems, fuel systems and electrical systems training certificates on display?

      Imfo on service

It was serviced because it had gone 250 hours and oil fister was leeking.
It had reved 5500 RPM the week before the service.
Yes he is a yamaha trained tech.
Not sure he has 4 stroke systems certification.
