  • Problems with oilpump on a 150HP HPDI engine.

    hello.
I do have a problem with getting the oil pumped from the oiltank to the tank inside the motor housing. the pumps works fine when connecting 12v directly to the the motor, but when usinig the switch inside the motor to force power to the pump, the pump works, but it isn't able to pump oil out of the tank. what could be wrong? does the motor have to be started first? I've not messured the voltage on the wires from the motor, so I don't know if the voltage is high enough. does anyone have a clue on this?

Can't help with the problem other that to suggest doing a search. Lots of info and I recall reading a really good tutorial about trouble shooting.

the transfer pump gets its 12V power on the brown wire anytime the key is on.
the blue wire controls the ground path Via the ECU or the manual toggle switch.
if the pump runs but has no flow check the remote tank filter and the line for pinching.
