Running 1/2 speed

I have a 2008 TLR50. On my last trip it ran at about 1/2 speed (2900 RPM) and then after about 3 hours it suddenly took off and ran perfectly. I checked the fuel connection, the water pump outlet, and the choke assembly and all were OK. Any Ideas? Thanks

sounds like dirty carbs and I personally would rid of the quick fuel connect

You've got water in your fuel. The water settles to the bottom and that's where the pickup is. It ran good after 3 hours because that's how long it took to get to clean fuel rather than water/fuel mixed...
