    Hello,
    Do you know what is "Shift Position Switch" on a F115 ?
    I have done diags and I have this error code 28:

    it means that the ECU saw a crank signal and a shift position that should not have been or you over sped the engine in N.

        simply test the switch with an ohm meter.
        its a simple on or off swictch just like the light switch on your wall.
        it also wont really affect engine running.
        in N its off or open,in gear its on or closed.

            on the shift slide.
            two wire blue connector.
            you really need a service manual with yor laptop.

              No, I need to be American ;o) I am French, even if I speak English it is very difficult to understand technical English, and more in motors because you have expressions that can't be translate word to word or no equivalent in my language.
              So I understand "shift", I understand "slide" but not 'shift slide": perhaps it is where there is connectors, relays, ECU, regulator on the engine ?
