Digital gauges

The digital gauges on my 2000 150 VMax gave out a while back. Can I replace them with part no. 6YR-W0035-F1(tach and speedometer rigging kit)? Do I need adapter 6Y5-85335-10-00 to make them work?

The 6YR-W0035-F1-00 kit will work and wont need a adapter, 6YR-W0035-F2-00 wont work on a 2000 model.

The reason I asked about the adapter is because I called you guys to see if those gauges would fit my boat, and whoever I talked to told me that 94-04 motors needed the adapter. He said he checked the rigging guide. Guess he was mistaken?
