  • Slow speed in gear

I just rigged a Yamaha 130 (1993) with a older Morse control binnacle. Everything works great except my slowest speed in reverse and forwards seems just a little bit fast - the slowest I can go is about 6 mph (depending on which way the current is flowing. Reverse is the same - immediately when in gear it just seems to fast.

About to take stuff apart and start to look but I don't have much room for change on the actual morse control unit. Any thoughts appreciated.

I will have to check when I go out tomorrow...

I tried turning down the idle adjust screw in the driveway but it is hard to tell without being in the water (didn't seem to make a difference so I set it back. I will try the same thing in the water tomorrow.)

      Thanks

I think I have it nailed down to the linkage...i need a shorter adapter (the one that screws on the teleflex cable). Am about a half inch too long.
