  • '85 90 hp plug gap?

Clymer's says .034-.036 gap. The factory decal on the engine says .040. Which is right?

My Yamaha service manual states .035-.039 and the Seloc manual states .039. Hope that helps

Thanks. I'll try the .040 for a set of plugs. The bigger gap should help at idle, particularly cold.

Sounds like some of you have manuals for a 1985 90 hp..I ordered mine the other day..not here yet..does your manual give the compression test acceptable limits?? My results are, 80-70-80..that seems low to me?? Thanks Mike
