  • Hour Meter install

    Good Afternoon,
    First off, new to the forum, and I have found some useful info. I am looking for assistance on installing a hour meter. I have a 2010 Tidewater with a Yamaha F150 on it.
    Here are the specs; http://www.tidewaterboats.net/bullet...cc-f150txr.pdf

    I purchased a Faria hour meter and installed it in the gauge panel;
    http://faria-instruments.com/cgi-bin...hite&id=MH0056

    I was curious if there is a place I am able to hook this up on the current wiring harnesses from the boat/Yamaha or do I actually need to splice into another wire that is powered by the ignition? If there isn't a place to connect on the wiring harness can I hook into the other gauges?

    Thank you for any help,
    Brian

      Wish I knew the translation prior to purchasing it. Should have done some research and not bought what matched from the dealer catalog.

      Oh well, damage done. Did a quick scan of the meter last night and all they want for the meter is a 12VDC connection powered by the ignition. Is there a link where I can find the wiring diagram for the yamaha? http://faria-instruments.com/site_manuals/IS0011C.pdf

      Thanks for help and replies.
