  • tach won't turn off

    2005 200tlrd

Engine was run on flush (boot on lower unit) and overheated. Engine was shutdown and when key was turned on engine overheat light would come on and when the engine was actually started the overheat alarm would come on before the engine could possibly overheat. (water pressure is still good at around 5 to 7 while ideling the same as before overheat.)

oh yeah engine has 4 hours on it

Tried to reset the computer by disconecting the starting battry but now the tach will not turn off with the key and still dispalys the overheat light all the time.

I am very confused as to what could be going on.
so any insite whould be greatly apprecialted.

The best thing is to take it back to your dealer.
