  • Constant Alarm when wiring harness to main oil tank is connected.

I have a 2003 150 hp Yamaha. The alarm sounds when the wiring harness to the main sub oil injection tank (below deck) is connected and continues to alarm as long as connected. The pump in the main sub oil tank works and the oil level gauge assys (sensor tubes) in both the main sub tank and the small oil tank on the side of the outboard motor have been replaced. When wiring harness to sub tank is disconnected and the oil level in the side tank drops to the lower mark the alarm sounds like it is suppose to but no fill since sub tank pump is disconnected. When wiring harness is connected to the main sub tank the system works like it is suppose to with the pump filling the small side tank when the oil level gets to the lower mark and shuts off when the oil level reaches the upper mark but the alarm continues to sound as long as connected. Have checked for continuity of the wiring harness from connecting plug beside engine to sub oil pump tank and shows to be okay. Checked the heat sensors and checks out okay.
