tach question

I'm new to this thread and I bought my first yamaha. F75 I put it on a 18 ft pontoon . I see in the 703 book that the Rachel wires are pretty much plug and play for the new digital tach . I was wondering will my old analog tach still work ? It has the dial on the back for 2 thru 6 cyl setting . I just don't wanna fry my computer by hooking it up to try.

Not sure what engine you had before but the F75 has a 12 pole alternator and the Tach will need to be set for 12 pole alternator to work properly.

depends on the tach.
but like boats.net said your F75 is a 12pole/6 pulse setup.
any alarm visual indicates in the tach wont work.
