temp port thread size 1999 90hp

Does someone know the thread size/pitch for the threads in the temp/pressure port on the 1999 90 hp Yamaha ob? I removed the plug on my motor but with great effort. The plug has never been out but the first thread on the plug was badly deformed and has done damage to the port threads. I think that if I known the thread size and pitch with the proper tap I can clean the threads up and continue with the install of my temp gauge. I can be emailed at thiemich@comcast.net

temp port thread size 1999 90hp

Well I found my metric thread gauge and the water press / water temp port is 14mm x 1.5 pitch. I found 3 adapters, one is 14mm that will take a 1/8th npt male thread and 2 others. One is 14mm to hose barb and the other 14mm with a compression fitting......designers choice. All found online.
