  • Connecting a tachometer on a F20 Yamaha

    Hello everbody,

I have a 20 hp Yamaha ESR from 2008, and I have a tachometer with 2 cabels( a + and a - I think) but how can I connect it with my engine?
    Thank you a lot.
    Best,

    Aron

If you have the Yamaha digital tach kit(6YR-W0035-E2-00) then connect the long harness with off white colored square 4 prong connector to off colored connector on engine and connect other end of harness to tach, connect the short harness to key switch or 703 control box matching color wires, green to green, black to black, yellow to yellow and same thing to tach. Set dip switch in back of tach to up(switch 1), down (sw2), up(sw3).

he has 2 cables. I have read that it is possible to put him on it.(the tachometer is for a 4 stroke 2 cilinder so I think good)
