Carb part numbers

HI,
Im replacing my carbs(that mysteriously dissapeared) on a 1988 Yamaha 115etlg. Im a little curious as to what the difference is between older carbs(6E5-14301-11and -12) and newer carbs(-13). Ive been assured that they are intercahangable just want a second opinion.

That part number will work on 1987 to 1993 models.
