  • Fuel mileage

I have pair of 225, 1997 Yamaha's, and looking for how to improve fuel milege.
The following has been done. Annual replace plugs wih BR9HS setting @.039.
Replace fuel filters, and clean oxygen density sensor.
I do a fair amount of *****ing, but a average day of fifty miles more or less of travel.

    What other suggestions?

Check: Yamaha Outboard Performance Bulletins, plug in your boat/motor/rig gives chart showing best GPH, MPG, MPH for range of RPM's. My 90HP Yamaha 2 stroke is most efficient right about 3500RPM's, so I try to stay in that range as much as possible at cruise. Other than that, probably not a whole lot you can do for fuel efficiencies besides staying off the throttles. These motors really love the gas! Good Luck!
