  • two stroke or four

    i have a parker 25 deep v sport cabin , with motors and fuel total weight is aprox 8000lbs.im having twin yammies 150 4 stroke installed as i type. am i doing the right thing by going 4 , or should i have gone with the 2 stoke hpdi. i have gotten mixed opinions by everyone i have spoke to about this. thanks

    With that boat, you are probably more interested in fuel economy than blazing speed - I would be. I think you have made the right choice -
    just make sure that the Yamaha dealer guarantees that you can get up on plane, and that they will work with you on prop selection.

      thanks ken, just put a smile on my face, i was thinking that earlier how im not really looking for blazing speed, whew, i feel better

        Yeah, happy, you just want to have the right prop
        on those four strokes so that when you are max throttle and max speed, the rpm will be at about mid-range for what the owners manual calls for - probably a max range of 5000-6000, but I'm guessing on those four strokes.
