My 150 water pump has been acting very strange lately. It will pump fine once and then just trickle out the hole. Any ideas or suggestions woulde greatly appreciated.

in water or on muffs....try to clean out the discharge hole.... medium gauge monofilament works fine. -

I would disconnect the hose from the nipple that is plugged into the lower cowling. Tape the hose with duct tape so that it points downward outside the lower cowling. Run the motor with earmuffs and water hose and observe water discharge out the hose - if ok, then obstruction is in nipple - if not, then water pump is not doing its job.
