  • Cooling Water Discharge

    Hi All,
My F40TLRC runs perfectly, but the cooling water discharge out of the pilot
hole although always very strong has always been less than a nice uniform pattern, like something was stuck in there. Today I tried to clear it, and found
a piece of rubber clinging to the outlet so I pulled it off. The dishcarge hole is clear and I can pass a air needle valve stem easily through it. My question is does the pilot hole fitting (nozzle?) normally have a restrictor built into it to maintain a certain amount of water back pressure in the cooling system? Was that piece of rubber I pulled off what was left of the restrictor? I haven't run
the engine since so I don't know what the discharge stream is going to look like now that the hole - although clear - is now larger.

    Thanks
    Tony

No there is no restrictor in it, it should be fine now.
